Raleigh Baby’s First Year Photo Session | Baby Charlie

Handsome little Charlie came into my Wake Forest photo studio for his Baby’s First Year photo session! He was just adorable as can be, and SO expressive! He was full of personality, and a little ham! We had so much fun together capturing his first year photos. He was just turning one, and we wanted to capture all of his cuteness at this stage. His mom brought along some of his favorite moose stuffed animals that we used for some photos as well. I absolutely love doing Raleigh baby’s first year photo sessions!

As you’ll see, we decided to do a cake smash as part of Charlie’s first year photo session. I always love doing these and watching babies enjoy their first bites of cake! If you’d like to include some cake smash photos as part of your baby’s photo session, this is super simple! I just ask Moms to bring their own cake (for allergy & liability reasons), and I provide everything else! I have plenty of props like buckets, baskets, stools, backdrops, etc. for in-studio sessions. Or we can meet at a local park and take outdoor photos.

This next little guy is the very adorable baby Kauis, who had his Raleigh newborn photography session done when he was 17 days young! Kaius was an absolute angel for his session. Super sleepy, and posed so perfectly for me! The very first setup I did with him was of him in the bucket, and it was my favorite of the session. He was sound asleep when he arrived and it worked perfectly. He looked so good in the blues and creams that I put him in… I mean, I’m just dying over this cuteness! He was perfect – from that glorious head of hair to his perfect teeny little toes. This session was probably one of my favorites of all of 2021. He was so amazing!

And because I’ve had a lot of questions lately about COVID precautions, I’d love to fill you in on what I do in my studio to keep babies and their families safe from COVID. I’m fully vaccinated and boosted and take the health of my tiny clients seriously. In between each session, my studio gets fully sanitized. My props are disinfected, my camera and work area are cleaned, as is the seating area where parents hang out during sessions. The first thing I do before touching a baby is to sanitize my hands, and I do it frequently throughout each session. I also wear a mask to protect my tiny clients from germs.
