I had been really looking forward to meeting baby Bryce after doing his Mommy’s maternity photos a few months earlier. She was beautiful and it was a stunning Raleigh maternity photo session.  The link is here in case you missed it! 🙂 I got to snuggle baby Bryce when he was eight days old, and he was a perfect little nugget.  Mommy asked for blues and greys, so that’s what we did!  And I love the result. Bryce was a gorgeous baby boy, with the perfect round cheeks and the right amount of squish!  So happy this family chose me to capture these memories during such a special time in their lives. They have some beautiful Raleigh newborn portraits to pass down for generations!

Just a quick scheduling note — I’m currently booking newborn baby photo sessions for September 2016 and later. Please be sure to contact me as early as possible to ensure you get a spot in my fall schedule!

Today I’m sharing a precious newborn baby girl, little Virginia! It’s my first time photographing a baby named Virginia, and I really adore that name!  Her mommy and daddy drove a long ways to come see me in my studio in Wake Forest, NC, which is always an honor. I’m so glad they chose me as their photographer and entrusted me to capture Virginia’s newborn portraits.  Her mommy requested both green and purple for the session, so as you can see, we did plenty of both colors! We also got some amazing outdoor shots, despite it being an unusually cool spring morning.  But what mommy wants, mommy gets!  And baby Virginia cooperated perfectly outdoors so I could get the shot!  Virginia’s mommy also brought along some very special quilts that are family heirlooms, so as you’ll also see we incorporated the quilts into the Raleigh newborn session too.  So many great shots from Virginia’s gallery, it was hard to narrow down my favorites!

I hope everyone is staying cool and having a great start to summer! As is typical for me during the summer months, I’ve only accepted a very small amount of bookings because I have all three of my crazy baby boys home with me for the next three months.  So my working hours are very limited! Instead I’m focusing on my little ones right now and making memories with them.  So things may be a bit quiet here and on my Facebook photography page.  I’ll still be posting a few things from time to time, so be sure to follow along over on my FB page and my Instagram page (link, here)

Today I want to share with you the very adorable baby Amelia and her sweet family! Her big brother and sister are just the CUTEST and are so adoring and precious with her! We did some really sweet outdoor newborn setups, which are always some of my favorite baby shots to do during the warmer months here in Raleigh.  Amelia was just so stunning and perfect and I loved having her family come in to see me!

I was so excited to meet baby girl Ruby for her Raleigh newborn session! I photographed her older brother Eli a few years ago and of course was thrilled that they chose me to create more art for their home and to capture these memories for them. And baby Ruby was so gorgeous. I enjoyed snuggling her in my studio and getting to know her cute little personality! And her Mommy likes purple, which excited me. I love pulling out purple from my prop stash…. I have tons!!!  I always style my sessions around my client’s color choices, and love to make sure everything is cohesive and flows together nicely for those who order albums with all of their portraits.  Honestly, besides snuggling the babies, the styling of my sessions is one of my favorite things about this job.   I love details, I love color, and I love things to be perfect!!! Type A? Who ME?!?! 🙂  Okay, back to sweet baby Ruby. Here’s a peek at her baby session in my Raleigh studio!

I have a really adorable baby boy to share with you all today!! Baby Matthew was my last newborn session of 2015, and shooting his Raleigh newborn session was a great way to close out the year!  It was completely a year where baby girls were the majority for me. Then all of a sudden the tide changed in Raleigh at the end of the year and the baby boys made their comeback!  This handsome little one came to the studio with his adoring and very sweet big brother, Jason.  He was so wonderful with his new baby brother, so caring and kind. It was so adorable to see them together.  And baby Matthew… what a doll he is! With his perfect little nose and lips and his cute little baby mo-hawk!! Just about the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen!! He was 12 days old when I got to meet him, which is the perfect age for a Raleigh newborn session with me!  Here is a glimpse into his stunning gallery of images!
