This next tiny little peanut came to see me in January for her Raleigh newborn photographer session. She was soooo itty bitty – most of my headbands and hats had to be adjusted for her tiny head. We did newborn photos of her with her big brother and sister, and they each wanted turns holding her. I think this baby girl is going to be very loved on as she grows older. Her older siblings were so adoring of her! I loved her family photos, as well as her detailed close-up photos of her sweet toes, lips, and lashes. This baby girl is absolute perfection – as you’ll see below!

Wake Forest Best Baby Photographer | Baby Oliver

I have such a cutie to show you all today! This handsome baby boy is Oliver, and he came into the Wake Forest baby photo studio for a mini session! The mini sessions are one hour of shooting time, and allow us to get a small sampling of poses and prop photos, all at a discounted price.

Little Oliver had the cutest cheeks and amazing eyelashes. He was joined by both his grandma and his mom at the photo session. Oliver’s grandma purchased the photo session as a gift – hint, hint these newborn photo sessions make amazing baby shower gifts! 🙂

Newborn Photographer Chapel Hill | Baby Girl Laney

Today I want to share some of the beautiful newborn portraits from baby girl Laney’s photo session, and I’m also going to cover some helpful items you’ll need to bring to your baby’s newborn photo session.

Baby Laney was so adorable and perfect for her Chapel Hill newborn photo session. Wait until you see her beautiful eyelashes, and stunning skin! Her mama requested jewel tones like ruby red. I love getting to use these gorgeous colors for newborn photos! They were such a nice complement to Laney’s skin tones. I just love the variety of props and poses that I was able to achieve for baby Laney’s portraits!

For those planning their baby’s newborn photography session, there are a few things that are so essential in helping this run smoothly. First, I always request parents bring along a pacifier, even if their baby hasn’t used one yet. Babies have a natural sucking reflex, and it helps to soothe and relax them. It’s SO important in soothing babies into those cute little poses! And second, a way to feed baby is necessary while you’re in the newborn photo studio. For those moms who aren’t nursing, please bring along a bottle. Often we do have to pause partway through a photo session for baby to feed, since they eat so often!

Other than these items, I have everything else we’ll need! I always keep a full supply of diapers, wipes, burp cloths, snacks for hungry moms… it’s all provided! 🙂

This sweet little baby is handsome Gavin! I loved my Wake Forest newborn photo session with him! I used my newest little prop with baby Gavin – the wooden curved bench. I just love how this prop is shining for my last several sessions. I have a feeling this one is going to be a favorite amongst my clients! This little cutie was such a delight to have in my photo studio! We did so much amazing variety for her Wake Forest baby portrait session! I was honored to be her Chapel Hill Newborn Photographer.

Pink, purple and cream – all so girly and beautiful on this baby girl. She was a ball of chub, which I looooove on a newborn. The big cheeks and rolls are to die for! Youngsville Baby Photographer | Six Month Photos

I met this family in the fall for a six month / baby’s first year photo session for their youngest boy! They opted for an outdoor portrait session with a Youngsville baby photographer. I adore outdoor photos at this specific park near Raleigh, it’s one of my favorite locations. And we had beautiful fall leaves on the ground the week we were there, which added to the beauty of the park. This handsome little guy was celebrating being a very big six months old! He was just learning how to sit up on his own, so we helped to prop him up in some little buckets and baskets. And he did show off his sitting skills for a quick minute in one of the photos! And cute big brother participated in the shots too. This was such a lovely baby’s first year photo session in Raleigh!

Raleigh Baby’s First Year Photo Session | Baby Charlie

Handsome little Charlie came into my Wake Forest photo studio for his Baby’s First Year photo session! He was just adorable as can be, and SO expressive! He was full of personality, and a little ham! We had so much fun together capturing his first year photos. He was just turning one, and we wanted to capture all of his cuteness at this stage. His mom brought along some of his favorite moose stuffed animals that we used for some photos as well. I absolutely love doing Raleigh baby’s first year photo sessions!

As you’ll see, we decided to do a cake smash as part of Charlie’s first year photo session. I always love doing these and watching babies enjoy their first bites of cake! If you’d like to include some cake smash photos as part of your baby’s photo session, this is super simple! I just ask Moms to bring their own cake (for allergy & liability reasons), and I provide everything else! I have plenty of props like buckets, baskets, stools, backdrops, etc. for in-studio sessions. Or we can meet at a local park and take outdoor photos.

Wake Forest Baby’s First Year Photos | Baby Quinlan

This sweet little babe is Quinlan, and his parents reached out to me in search of Wake Forest Baby’s first year photos. Quinlan was three months old, and they were hoping to capture him and his personality at this age. At three months, they’ve passed out of the newborn, sleepy phase, so instead it’s all about those awake shots showing personality. And Quinlan sure was full of personality! As you can see! His hair was just soooo amazing, and he gave the best facial expressions. His mom and dad brought along some cute little outfits that looked great on him.
