Baby Laurel | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Sweet baby Laurel was such a delight! I photographed her in my Wake Forest studio just before my summer break (still catching up on blogging!). She was 10 days old and wide awake for a good chunk of the session. I really love a calm, awake baby for some of the session. The photos with baby’s eyes open are always the parent’s favorites! And we got quite a few of those with baby Laurel. Some of her expressions were really just priceless!!! She gave me just the right mix of being awake, and then also going to sleep for some poses. BABY ZANDER | RALEIGH DURHAM NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Baby Zander, you are precious and you have an amaaaaaazing head of hair!!!! I got to snuggle him in my Wake Forest studio at a fresh little 9 days old. He was just absolutely gorgeous, and so were his parents, so it was easy to see where it came from! I really enjoyed meeting this family and spending time with Zander! I loved all of his newborn photos, and all of the sweet little poses he did for me. So much goodness!

Baby Rosalie | RALEIGH NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Next up to share is the adorable baby Rosalie. She came into my studio in Wake Forest for her newborn portraits at just 12 days old. Her big sister Charlotte, who I also photographed as a baby, came along and we got some great photos of the two girls together! I loved seeing Charlotte again, and catching up with the new family of four! Rosalie did so great for her newborn portraits. She was so calm and a sweet baby. So many favorites to share!

Sweet little Stella is today’s feature for the blog. Her Mommy asked for some grays and purples, which are two colors I love and have fun using! Baby Emma | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

The very sweet little Emma is next up on the blog! She came for her newborn photo session at a perfect 2 weeks old, and she was wonderful and sleepy! I was so excited to see Emma’s family again after photographing maternity portraits for them in 2015, as well as newborn photos for their first baby that fall. You may remember the cute baby Joseph, and now they have a sweet little girl to round out their family! For Joseph’s newborn portraits, we used my little blue bed, and so we pulled it out again for little Emma. I think it turned out SO cute! Baby Ivy | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This next little lady has the most beautiful name, Ivy. She came to see me for her Raleigh newborn photo session when she was three weeks old. She was born back in November, and her parents asked for some Christmas set-ups, so we did a few really cute ones. I just loved baby Ivy in front of the twinkly lights backdrop and between the tiny Christmas trees. She was absolutely perfect and had a beautiful head of hair. Everything I put on her looked gorgeous on her! She is a stunning baby girl! Here are my favorites!

Baby Declan | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I have such a special session to share with you all today. And I’m long overdue in posting it! This little guy is baby Declan, and he’s the son of a sweet friend of mine, who is also a photographer. I was lucky enough to photograph her older daughter, Arden, and you all may have seen some of the many fun photo shoots we did with Arden back during her first year. Well, now they’ve added a baby boy to their family and my gosh, he’s precious!! We decided to do some “extras” for Declan’s shoot, and we added an outdoor session onto the regular in-studio newborn session. And as you can see, we did these last summer (I did say I was behind on blogging, right?!), and the warm temperatures were perfect for Declan to be posed in all these cute photos outdoors! We had so much fun, and he was a very sleepy, willing participant! Some of these outdoor shots are among my most favorite photos ever. Here is a peek at Declan’s newborn session!

Baby Wesley | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This absolutely adorable baby boy is Wesley! I was so excited for his session so I could see his sweet family again. I had the honor of photographing Wesley’s older brother – both his newborn photos and throughout his first year. So I was delighted when I learned they were expecting another baby boy. Wesley’s Mommy said she really wanted the head-in-hands shot (aka the froggy pose as we photographers like to call it). So not only did baby Wesley totally nail that shot, he even gave a perfect grin to make it all the more adorable for his Mommy. Baby Nolan | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Sweet baby Nolan!! This handsome little fella was 14 days old for his newborn session, which I think is a magic number! He slept so peacefully and was so perfect throughout all of the poses. And just check out the hair on Nolan. Long and blonde, which is just so unusual and beautiful. He has an adorable older sister named Ellie, who did so great for her part in the session. I loved her big smiles and how well she did with her baby brother. This was such a fun session for me! Check out some of Nolan’s beautiful photos!

Baby Evie | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Happy new year everyone!! I hope everyone enjoyed their fall and the holidays! This poor blog of mine has been a little neglected, but I’m hoping to get caught up eventually. 🙂 I have so many beautiful baby sessions to show you all!

This little sweetheart is baby Evie, who was 10 days old for her newborn photo session. She is absolutely beautiful and was such a perfect little model for me in my studio in Wake Forest, NC. She had the sweetest little features, and I made sure to capture those tiny little toes, eyelashes, and her long fingers (she’s going to be tall, I think!). She looked so adorable tucked into my tiny little baby bed. I love that prop – one of my favorites of all time! I got so many different poses – props, wrapped, unwrapped, the macro shots, the parent shots. She was a perfect angel. Just love all of her photos!
