In the fall I often make room in my schedule to offer a few family photo sessions. The “T” family drove to Raleigh from Chapel Hill to get photos at this beautiful park. This park is one of my favorite secrets about Raleigh. It’s my absolute favorite place to shoot, with gorgeous light and foliage! This adorable family brought along their dog as well, and she was so well behaved. We had so much fun taking their portraits, and I hope these are hanging large on their walls right now! 🙂

Durham Newborn Photos | Baby Ivy

Oh, how precious baby Ivy was for her first photoshoot! I was so excited to meet her when she was a fresh little two weeks old. She came into my Wake Forest baby studio and was such a pleasure! Her mom requested a shot in my little grey bed prop, and Ivy was nice enough to cooperate perfectly for it. She had a great sleepy stretch and then was awake for some eyes-wide-open shots. I’ve found that the awake shots are always some of the most popular photos by the parents, especially when they make that beautiful eye contact. Just precious! Ivy was so dainty and perfect and I loved each and every setup I did with her. So many great photos for her Mommy to have as a memory of her first two weeks. These are going to make for beautiful art in their home.

On a scheduling note, I’m currently booking for winter and spring of 2021 and have plenty of openings as of right now. I have some great session offerings for different budgets and would love to discuss these with you further.

Baby’s First Year Photographer

This next session was a Baby’s First Year mini session to celebrate little Tate turning one year old. I’ve been photographing this family since their first son was born, and did photos all through his first year. So I’ve loved seeing this family grow and change over the years. We met out at a park in Wake Forest for this session, and it was a beautiful evening! We got lots of great photos of Tate, along with shots of his big brother, and the whole family. These boys are so adorable!

I hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit! I’m back to share a beautiful newborn session with you all. Baby girl Mika was 11 days old for her session. She is a BEAUTIFUL baby, with the best cheeks and adorable squish. Gorgeous hair, long lashes, and the sweetest family and big sister too. They were all so photogenic and wonderful to work with. Another precious baby girl! This is adorable little Dani. As you’ll see below, she has two adoring big brothers who are going to have so much fun with her. I can’t even imagine having two big brothers watching out for me. Dani is a lucky girl, and nobody better mess with her! Dani’s mom requested pinks, teals, and yellows. She wanted a really colorful newborn photo session, so that’s what she got! All of my sessions are tailored towards what my client wants. I usually ask for color preferences before the session, and then style everything based on that. I have a HUGE collection of props. Headbands, hats, wraps, blankets, cute little outfits, buckets, baskets, etc. etc. Tons to work with so each session is unique and fits your personality.

I’m happy to share a peek at little Tate’s six-month photo session! I’ve so enjoyed seeing this family over the years. Big brother also did my Baby’s First Year plan and came to me for newborn, six-month, and 1-year photos. And I’m happy little Tate is doing the same this year! He was a little grumpy on the day of his six-month photo session, however, we managed to cheer him up and get lots of smiles. Of course, big brother cracked up Tate a lot too. We can always count on siblings to be goofy and get the laughs! 🙂

Raleigh Durham Newborn Photography

I have a sweet little boy to share with you today. He has the best head of hair! I so enjoyed my time posing him and giving him some snuggles – this was pre-COVID of course! 🙂 He was absolutely stunning on some darker colors. The green was just gorgeous with his skin tone, as well as the dark blue, which ended up being my favorite. So much variety in his Raleigh newborn photo session, and just too many favorites!

Raleigh’s Best Baby Photographer | Baby Blythe

I’m happy to show off sweet baby Blythe to you all! She’s a beautiful baby with a beautiful name!

I met Blythe’s parents years back when I did maternity photos when they were expecting their first baby. And then I had the pleasure of having them in my Raleigh newborn photography studio when they delivered their first baby, Landis. I was so excited for them to be having another baby girl! And so excited to meet baby Blythe. She looks a lot like her big sister, and I could feel the love between the two of them. Landis held baby Blythe so sweetly and was super adoring of her. It was really touching to see.

Blythe’s newborn photo session was just amazing. She posed so beautifully, and all of my little hats and headbands looked adorable on her. I loved her on the pink and cream, and especially in my little baby bed. So many favorites from this Raleigh newborn session!

This ADORABLE baby girl is Aashi. She is so stunning! Her amazing head of hair and thick, long eyelashes are all to die for! I could have snuggled her for days!! She’s such a gem, and it was my absolute pleasure to welcome her into my Raleigh newborn photo studio when she was 15 days old.

I did Aashi’s Raleigh Durham baby photo session around Christmas time in 2019 (I’m a wee bit behind on blogging!). So you’ll see below some of the Christmas-themed photos I took during her newborn photography session in December. Aashi’s mommy wanted lots of pink, but also some Christmas-themed shots for their holiday cards. Since the weather in Raleigh is getting a little cooler now, maybe these photos will get us in the Christmas spirit! 🙂

Sweet baby boy Nico is next up on the blog! Gosh, I love the name, Nico! He is absolutely adorable and precious and photographed so perfectly in my newborn photo studio. I adored little Nico and his family. He was a fresh seven days old when I met him and got to pose him. We did so many cute baby poses, and he was so good and sleepy – and happy!

If you’re interested in a newborn photo session like this, please contact me! I have openings for both full and mini newborn photo sessions. The full sessions offer more variety on poses and props, as well as including any older siblings and parents in some of the photos. If your budget is a little smaller, you may prefer a mini newborn session, which also takes place in my professional photo studio in Wake Forest, NC. These sessions still allow you to capture the memories of your baby being so itty bitty. We’ll do several poses, as well as some of those classic close-up shots of fingers and toes, and even a prop shot or two! We can customize these photo sessions based on what you want! These are also perfect if you just need a few photos for a birth announcement.
