This next baby is a beautiful little winter princess who came to me in December for her Wake Forest baby photos. I have sooo many newborns to share here, and I’m hoping I can share more often this year! I loved this session for its lovely neutrals (with just a pop of color here and there). And this sweet baby girl had the most beautiful profile, lips, and lashes, which I loved documenting for her parents. A few little baby smiles just added to the beauty of this Wake Forest newborn photo session!

I have a sweet baby boy’s photo session to share! He was wiiiide awake with no interest in sleeping when he came to visit… It happens! 🙂 He was also a bit on the older side for a newborn session – at the past three weeks old recommendation. As a newborn photographer, I’m happy to take older babies when my schedule allows, but I always set the expectation that the baby may be wide awake and not interested in going into the squishy, sleepy newborn poses. And this is just fine, as the awake photos are super cute too!

Wake Forest Baby’s First Year Photos | Baby Quinlan

This sweet little babe is Quinlan, and his parents reached out to me in search of Wake Forest Baby’s first year photos. Quinlan was three months old, and they were hoping to capture him and his personality at this age. At three months, they’ve passed out of the newborn, sleepy phase, so instead it’s all about those awake shots showing personality. And Quinlan sure was full of personality! As you can see! His hair was just soooo amazing, and he gave the best facial expressions. His mom and dad brought along some cute little outfits that looked great on him. I just absolutely loved meeting them and taking Quinlan’s baby’s first year photos for them!

Youngsville Newborn Photographer | Baby Genevieve

Cutie baby girl Genevieve was 19 days old on the day of her Youngsville newborn photographer session. She was smiley and precious and perfect! Genevieve’s mama asked for jewel tones, so I themed the baby photo session around those colors. We used the heart bowl prop, which is always a favorite amongst families. I love babies in that bowl, it’s such a great symbol of the parent’s love for their new baby.

Don’t forget to reach out for your newborn photo session as early as possible. I have people book sessions as early as 3 months into their pregnancy. My calendar fills up fast, so I can’t guarantee availability if you wait until after the baby is born to reach out. I’m often fully booked by that point. So please reach out early!

Wake Forest Newborn Photo Studio

My favorite shots of this sweet little guy, Kairav, were definitely the head in hands pose. This pose is called the “froggy” pose amongst photographers. It shows off baby boy Kairav’s gorgeous head of hair, and his beautiful face. I’d say this newborn pose is definitely my most requested one. Parents are always in awe of their babies going into this pose, but suprisingly they mostly all love it. Babies are so flexible, and were all bundled up in mama’s tummy just a week before their sessions, so these tight little poses make them feel safe and calm. There are so many great poses that I can do in my Wake Forest newborn photo studio.

I really love my job, and feel so blessed to pose these babies in all of the many adorable poses. Each session is a little different and a challenge in different ways. The shots below are just a few of my favorites of newborn baby Kairav’s photo session.

Raleigh Durham Newborn Photographer | Newborn Sophie

I had so many baby girls in 2021! They were all gorgeous and sweet and cooperative – which makes for wonderful newborn photo sessions for me! Little Sophie was only seven days old when I met her for her Raleigh Durham newborn photographer session. She came into my newborn studio and made her big modeling debut and rocked it! Mom and Dad participated in some photos too, which I always encourage. They’re only this tiny once, and it goes by so quickly. A family photo is something you’ll always treasure. And someday your baby will be grown and may hang these photos in their own home! These portraits will be passed down to future generations. So I think it’s important to get in the photos and capture the moment!

Wake Forest Baby’s First Year Photographer | Lakelyn 6 Month Session

Today I’m sharing adorable little Lakelyn! I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow, and I’m enjoying every minute I get to spend with her! I first met her Mommy when she was pregnant with Lakelyn. We did a gorgeous Raleigh maternity photo session. And then a newborn photo session, 3 month session, and now a 6 month session! I’m loving being her Wake Forest baby’s first year photographer.

Lakelyn was just starting to get the hang of sitting up when she came in for her portrait session. We mostly had to put her in baskets to support her. But we did manage to get a cute photo of her sitting unassisted, with her Mommy just outside the frame, ready to catch her if she toppled!

Isn’t this little half birthday hat so very cute? Lakelyn’s mama brought it along, and it matched my pink backdrop perfectly. Sweet little Lakelyn is just so perfect and sweet in her Raleigh baby’s first year photos.

Raleigh Durham Family Photographer | The “W” Family

Are you ready to see a beautiful family photo session?! I’ve been photographing these beautiful people for years and years! I first did their oldest son’s newborn and baby’s first year photos. And then they added another boy to the mix, and I of course did his newborn photo session! And now look how grown up these two sweet boys are?! I’ve loved being this family’s Raleigh Durham family photographer over the years. We did a fall family photo session at a local park in Raleigh. I think their pictures turned out so beautifully! We had gorgeous fall colors, and this couple’s boys are just so loving and fun. I’ve enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them grow! Their bond is tight, and I really feel this is what having a brother is all about. Best friends for life!

Alexis was such a beautiful pregnant mom! I was happy to meet her for a Raleigh maternity photo session. She and her husband are such a stunning couple. They look like they belong on the cover of a magazine. Just too perfect for words!

This maternity photo session was held back in the fall, and the leaves and scenery were colorful and perfect. I’m slowly catching up on blogging my sessions, but it seems I keep falling further and further behind. At least a few fall photo sessions aren’t too bad to look at right now while we’re waiting for the colors of spring to arrive!

Baby’s First Year Photographer

Cute baby Rylan turned nine months old and his parents chose to celebrate it with a baby’s first-year photo session! He and his sweet curls just made my day. I love babies at this age. It seems when they hit about six months old and start sitting up, they have such a happy phase where they’re easily entertained and pleased with just about everything.

If you’re looking for a baby’s first-year photographer, please let me know! The ideal ages for these sessions are 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months. I hold these sessions either indoors (during winter months) or outdoors at local parks in the Raleigh area. I have a lot of great little baskets and buckets that fit this age perfectly and look so cute with the babies.
