Today is my son’s fourth birthday. He’s my oldest and he means the world to me! I can’t believe four years ago today he came into my life and made me a mother. My most important job title. He is seriously the coolest, funniest, smartest, cutest little guy. I don’t know what I’d ever do without him. And because I’m such a proud Mommy, I just have to share some recent pics of him!

My Cuties | Raleigh Durham Child Photographer

For those who haven’t met my own children, here they are! Dylan will be turning four next month and Chase is about one and a half. They’re my whole world! As you’d imagine, I like to take them out for their own photo sessions now and then to keep my pictures up to date and to someday fill lots and lots of albums with photos for them. About a week ago I found the most amazing location with beautiful yellow flowers blooming… couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take pictures there! We even brought our dog Rex along!

Roxy | Raleigh Family Photographer

I recently had the pleasure of photographing my friend Morgan, her husband Mike, and their dog — the famous Roxy! Morgan had really been wanting some new photos of the three of them, so she brought them along to my recent photogra-friend meetup and we got it done for her! Ashley & Emma

I was delighted to photograph beautiful little Ashley and Emma last weekend with their parents. They’re close friends of mine and they were nice enough to come out to Durham and model for me and a few of my fellow photographer friends when we held one of our meet-ups. We got a bunch of great pics — and their adorable selves and cute personalities made that easy for us! Check out Ashley’s braids and headband… is she stylish or what? Thanks “G” family for coming out and looking so cute!! 🙂

Nicole & Justin | Raleigh Durham Wedding Photographer

Nicole and Justin were married in downtown Durham on a beautiful sunny day. They had a fabulous church ceremony and their reception was held at the American Tobacco Campus. We had a blast roaming the streets of downtown Durham after the ceremony and got a TON of great shots with the most unique backdrops. It was a fun wedding and I was so honored to be there!!

Lindsay’s Maternity Session | Raleigh Durham Maternity Photographer

You’re probably all getting used to seeing Lindsay on my blog a LOT. I always love it when she calls me and asks me to take photos for her and her family. She’s 33 weeks pregnant with her second baby boy, and she is looking AMAZING! I’m sure every woman reading this is wishing they could look like this during their third trimester!

For Lindsay’s session, we opted to start with some indoor shots before heading outside to an amazing location. I really have a hard time deciding which I like best – the indoor or the outdoor shots. You be the judge!

It’s perfect for documenting this special time in your life and the newness of your brand new baby. You won’t regret it! I REALLY wish I had more pictures during my own pregnancies – it goes by too fast!

Summer’s Bridal Portraits

I met Summer on one of our hottest days in July to take her bridal portraits. It was at least 100 degrees outside and extremely hazy and muggy…. and the mosquitos were out in full force at this beautiful location. She was such a good sport and COMPLETELY stunning. She’s a drop dead gorgeous bride. I totally love her dress — it has POCKETS!! And that long veil — totally to die for!!!

Summer & Daniel | Raleigh Wedding Photography

Last weekend I had the pleasure of documenting the marriage of Summer and Daniel. You won’t meet nicer people… they are sweet and kind and their love for one another is so easy to see. The day of their wedding was stormy and rainy, so we were confined to the church for much of our photos – until the end when the sun showed up and we captured some amazing outdoor shots!! The rain didn’t put a damper on the festivities, though — everything was beautiful and perfectly planned.

Right now they are surely relaxing on the beach. Daniel planned the entire honeymoon himself and kept it a surprise from Summer!! I thought that was so sweet and fun! Thank you both for allowing me the opportunity to be there on your special day!! Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!!

Audrey & Anthony | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Audrey and Anthony. Audrey was a stunning bride, and her dress was absolutely gorgeous! She managed to continue looking fresh and gorgeous the entire evening, despite the heat that day. The reception was a blast – the neatest thing was the candy station Audrey planned. The guests had a field day with all those sweets, it was so cool!
