Each year I try to set aside some time to create a compilation of my favorite photos from each session I had that year. It was really fun to go back through and remember my favorites! I picked one photo from each family I met this year — there are sessions I’ve promised not to share, for privacy reasons, but the ones you see below are all of my favorites from those I blogged about this year. I owe a big thank you to each of the families I met this year – you’ve all been so amazing to share your lives with me, and I’m blessed to call you my friends. I watched quite a few of your babies grow up this year, and it was an honor!
Coming up in 2013, I plan to get caught up on my blogging from all my fall sessions, and I have an extremely packed calendar for January, so I’m eager to get some new sweet babies on this blog! Happy New Year, everyone!

I met Emily a few weeks ago for her maternity session and we had SO MUCH FUN!! She and her husband were hilarious and so willing to do anything I asked them to. I ended up with SO very many photos that I loved from their session. Oh, and their baby girl was just born, and I can’t wait to meet her!!

I met Devin and her husband at their home in Durham for their maternity session. The forecast called for bad weather, but miraculously the clouds went away for a little while so we headed outside and captured some adorable photos! I’m really looking forward to meeting their baby boy next month!

Adorable little Ethan was 10 days old for his session. I met him on New Year’s Eve – a lovely day for a newborn session! He has the best head of hair I’ve ever seen on a baby, which makes the photographs all the more better! He was a delight – thanks for spending New Year’s Eve with me, little man! 🙂

Wow, what an amazing year 2011 was for me! I met so many amazing people and had a blast photographing everything from marriages to babies to kids and families. I sincerely thank each and every one of you who touched my life this year and helped me to grow my business. I’m excited for all the possibilities that 2012 has to offer, and I hope to see a lot of familiar faces.

Beautiful little Grace was just eleven days old for her session. I love her name and I love how nicely she fits into her family of four. She has an adoring big brother and two special parents.
This last one warms my heart and makes me smile — the family’s feet! 🙂
