The cute little guy I’m sharing today is newborn baby Henry at 9 days old. He was wide awake for a while at the beginning of our session, so I got some great photos of his gorgeous eyes, which I love! And then he fell right asleep like a good little boy so I could pose him. How polite of him, huh? Here’s a few from Henry’s first photo session!

Baby Gabriel | RALEIGH NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

This handsome little guy is newborn Gabriel at 11 days old. His Mommy is the gorgeous Camisha, whose maternity session you might have seen on the blog! Gabriel’s Daddy is deployed right now and hasn’t gotten to meet him yet — can you believe that!?! I KNOW he’s dying to see him! Thank goodness for e-mail and Skype so he can see his little man that way! Camisha is doing everything herself, and I give her major credit for that… having a newborn is so hard!! Thankfully Gabriel is about as cute and perfect as they come. Camisha, thanks for making the long drive to Raleigh for your session, and for sharing your little sweetheart with me!! Such an honor!

I think babies really like to wink at me, hehe! 🙂

Baby Brooklynn | RALEIGH DURHAM NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

This sweet baby girl is little Brooklynn, who came to my studio at 10 days old for her session! She happens to have older brothers, so I’m sure she’ll be well protected as she gets older! 🙂 And she has the best cheeks ever! Loved meeting her!

Baby Patrick | RALEIGH NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

The little fella I want to share with you today is baby Patrick, who was just 8 days old for his photo session. His family unfortunately went through quite a bit of heartbreak during the pregnancy. Sadly, Patrick’s Daddy passed away from cancer before he was born. So, we of course incorporated a lot of things that had been special to Patrick’s Daddy, including his army uniforms, some special hats, wedding rings, etc. Patrick’s Mommy is so wonderful and was one of the kindest, funniest people despite everything she’s been through. I’m so happy she has baby Patrick in her life, and I hope to see more of them as Patrick gets bigger!

Baby Christopher | RALEIGH NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

**I just wanted to start out with a scheduling note — I have one session left to shoot before my maternity leave starts. I’ll be out for a few months with my new little one (can’t wait!). I’m currently accepting sessions for October 2014 and later. If you’re expecting this fall, please contact me soon, as I’ll be coming back to a lighter schedule than normal so I can spend a little extra time with my new baby. This sweet little boy was one of my favorite newborn sessions this past spring. This is baby Christopher at 12 days old! He had the most perfect skin and hair, and was so sleepy and perfect for me! He made my job easy! Here are a few of my favorite photos from his session!

Baby Riley | RALEIGH DURHAM NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Lucky me — two baby girls in the studio in a row! I loved it! Little Riley came in at three weeks old for her session and she was AMAZING – beautiful, tiny, sleepy, and perfect. It was one of those sessions where I loved every single picture I took. But you can probably tell that by the large over-share below. 🙂 How precious is she!?!

And I’m excited to report that June is my last month of shooting before my maternity leave starts. I’m 34 weeks pregnant right now, and will be finishing up shooting in the next 2ish weeks (if my scheduled babies come on time!), and then I’ll spend the rest of June finishing all of my editing, fulfilling orders, etc. etc. Then my family and I will be welcoming baby boy number 3 in early July. We’re ecstatic. The days seem to be flying by, yet going so slow all at the same time — all you mommies know how that is! 🙂 I’ll be returning from maternity leave in October with a limited work schedule, so if you’re pregnant and due in the fall, be sure to book soon before space is gone.

Baby Harper | RALEIGH NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This winter and spring I’ve had SO many newborn boys in the studio, so it makes me so super excited to pull out all the girly props when I get a baby girl! This sweet little baby girl is Harper. She was so cute in all the pinks, and especially in a cute little baby skirt I’d just purchased for her session. Also, you’ll notice my new curved bench in one of the photos below — I have to brag on my talented husband who made that for me. He’s handy to have around! 🙂 Enjoy these photos of Harper — I sooooo loved having her come to be photographed!!!

BABY DYLAN | RALEIGH DURHAM NC NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

This sweet little boy is baby Dylan — I photographed two newborns named Dylan within just a week of each other! And of course I have my own little boy named Dylan, so I’m partial to that name myself. 🙂 This Dylan was 12 days old for his session and was so perfect and sweet. I think my favorite shots of him were the ones on the blue flokati rug — just snug as a bug. Here’s a whole lot of cuteness!

BABY ZACH | RALEIGH DURHAM NC NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

Adorable little baby Zach came in at 3 weeks old for his newborn session. I had met his parents during their maternity session in January. I loooove when parents book my maternity/newborn package, so I get to meet them and get to know them before they come for their newborn session! I had fun seeing them again, and little Zach was just so sweet and laid back. Such a cutie!

This next baby I want to share with you is sweet little girl Aashi at just 9 days old. Her name means Smile, which is so absolutely precious! I had the pleasure of meeting not only her sweet Mommy and Daddy, but two of her grandmothers who flew in to meet her when she was born. She was so sweet, and a joy to have in the studio to play with!
