The next session I have to share today is with little Cecilia. Her mommy is another Raleigh maternity and baby photographer, and so I was of course very honored that she chose me to photograph her own sweet baby! It says a lot when other photographers choose you to capture their own families and the special moments in their lives. I was really thrilled!

This newborn photo session was one of my mini sessions, which is one hour in length. And Cecilia’s parents decided that instead of my traditional mini session with baby photos only, they wanted just family photos during our one-hour together. So we did this session filled with just family and sibling shots.

Cecilia was so precious, with the most amazing cheeks! And she had such a proud big brother who was so sweet and patient with her. This family really adores baby Cecilia, and I’m thrilled to have witnessed it and been able to capture this sweet stage in their lives.

Oh what a gorgeous family I’m sharing today! They came into my Wake Forest newborn photo studio a few months ago, and I was so excited to have them! This is a family blessed with four adorable, strong and smart girls! The older girls were so loving and caring for their baby sister. They posed and cooperated so perfectly for their family portraits.

This family chose my Original newborn session for their baby portraits. So we did sibling photos, family photos, and also lots of cute photos of baby Kaia by herself. Kaia is sooooo beautiful! Gorgeous creamy skin, perfect little lips, cute fluffy hair… the list goes on! I enjoyed posing her so much, and loved getting to know this family. Now they have beautiful Raleigh newborn portraits of Kaia to remember her at this stage forever.

Wake Forest Baby Photographer

Sweet little Lakelyn was 10 days old for her Wake Forest baby photographer session. She is an absolutely stunning newborn! Perfectly round cheeks, gorgeous skin and precious little baby wrinkles! Her parents were just recently on my blog with their maternity session (click to view!).

For Lakelyn’s newborn portraits, they selected my Original Newborn Session, which is the full newborn experience. This is my standard newborn session where we get a wide variety of poses and setups. These are typically 2.5-3 hours of working with baby to get everything the parents wanted and more! I pulled out a precious baby outfit from one of my favorite vendors, Mia Joy Studios. It had the loveliest flower and lace details, and looked stunning on Lakelyn for her Raleigh baby photo session. Lakelyn’s mommy requested purples and pinks for the session, so you’ll see that I worked in quite a bit of both colors. And we did the treasured ring and toes shot with Lakelyn, too! One of my favorite and most requested photos!

Raleigh Newborn Mini Sessions

I’m sharing a peek at a mini session for this sweet baby girl! The newborn mini sessions have become so in demand in the last few years for every Raleigh baby photographer. So many people are wanting a short and sweet newborn session so they can have a few photos to share on social media or to make some birth announcements with. So I started offering Raleigh newborn mini sessions about a year ago, and they sell like hot cakes! A newborn mini session is one hour – which is not a lot of time when you’re trying to get a baby to sleep and posed. So I try to be efficient and get as much variety and different shots as possible. Some babies sleep like a dream and I can breeze through a lot of setups. Others are a little harder, but I can still always manage to get lots of angles and variety. I typically try for at least one prop shot, and then several of the sweet baby poses on a blanket. And of course lots of close-ups of the tiny details, like face, toes and hands, which are always some of my favorite shots. So here’s an example of what to expect at your newborn mini session!

Baby girl Luna was such a delight! She came in for her Raleigh baby photography session when she was just nine days old. As you’ll see from the photos below of her newborn session, her parents requested lots of yellow, and some pinks too. So I delivered with both! I had the most beautiful yellow blanket that I hadn’t put to use in ages, so I was happy to get to use it. And I really truly love the color yellow – I have so many hats and wraps and baby headbands in yellow. I was happy to use them all! Baby Luna looked so beautiful in yellow and she was such a gorgeous baby with great cheeks.

I’d recently bought some gorgeous new outfits for baby girls, and I had fun dressing Luna up in a few of them. They had the most beautiful details on them, and fit baby Luna perfectly.

Beautiful Raleigh Newborn Photography Session

I’m happy to share Raleigh newborn baby girl Ainara’s photo session with you all today! She has such a unique name, and I love it. Her mom and dad requested neutrals and yellows for her, so you’ll see a lot of that below. She was just such a beautiful baby. She was awake for a good while at the beginning of her session, so I opted for some swaddle shots of her until she finally fell asleep. Then she let me pose her very sweetly, and I just love the taco pose and the pose with her little toes peeking out. COVID Precautions in my Newborn Studio

The number one question I get lately is regarding COVID protocol in my studio, and I want to continue addressing this on my blog to give everyone current information! In my Raleigh newborn photography studio, all props, equipment and seating areas are disinfected in between each baby photo session. I clean my hands very frequently during sessions (I go through a lot of hand sanitizer!). I also wear a mask during newborn photo sessions to keep from spreading germs. And most importantly, I’m covid vaccinated! If you have any further questions or need accommodations, please reach out!

I’m sharing a baby girl today that is super stunning! The photos almost speak for themselves, but she is just perfect in every way. The hair, the lashes, the beautiful skin… all perfect! This family opted for my Keepsake newborn session package. The keepsake package allows for a couple of family photos, as well as some photos of baby alone. We usually end up with roughly 20 photos, and some black and whites are always included as well. This family wanted me to use my baby bed prop (it’s been requested so much lately!), and preferred a lot of props over very many blanket shots. So we got a beautiful variety, and I adore all of the photos! The family shots are so special, and I think her parents will treasure these. She was such a cooperative and happy little girl. I feel so lucky that this family chose me to capture these memories!

Looking for the best baby photographer in Raleigh? Precious baby girl Riley came into my Wake Forest newborn studio at 2.5 weeks old. She is the first baby to my son’s soccer coach, so this family was a special one to me! She has the most beautiful blonde hair, which was no surprise, as both of her parents are blonde. It was so fluffy and had a mind of its own, though, which made me laugh. Her mommy requested pinks, so of course, I made that happen. She’s a gorgeous baby, with great cheeks and the most perfect chub rolls! I enjoyed my time in the studio with her and her family and captured so many great poses and angles that show off her beauty. Newborn Photographer | Baby Cooper

Introducing sweet little Cooper! He and his big brother were absolutely darling. I was happy to have them visit me for a Raleigh newborn portrait session. Cooper was about three weeks old when I met him, and boy was he perfect! Check out those cheeks! He was squishy and smiley, and such a handsome little guy. And his big brother was such a delight and so good with baby Cooper. They posed so sweetly together, and we were able to capture so many fantastic moments as memories for their family. I couldn’t believe how many times Cooper smiled during his photo session. Over and over again! My favorite smile was the shot with his brother gazing down on him – look for that photo down below. Cooper’s smile is so big, I couldn’t believe it. I took so many great shots of him – from the beloved “froggy” pose (immediately below on the left), to the macro (aka close-up) photos, to the myriad of sibling shots, to the bucket shots, to the snuggly, wrapped-up photos. So many amazing ones! This was such a great baby session, and I hope to see little Cooper for more photos as he grows up.

And for reference, this newborn session was a “Full” session, which is 2-3 hours of photoshoot time. All of my newborn sessions include the use of my huge prop supply – from blankets, hats, wraps, buckets, baskets, etc. – I have it all! And I have a tendency to deliver a lot more photos than promised… there always end up being a lot more great shots than expected. After having done this job for ten years, it’s become second nature and I can go quickly through the setups and photos while keeping the baby safe and calm.

Wake Forest Newborn Photographer | Baby Abigail

This scrumptious little baby is Abigail. Her parents have come to me for all three of their baby girls! And they drive SO FAR to come to have their newborn portraits done. I’m so honored and happy they’ve chosen me time after time. I’ve enjoyed getting to know them and meeting each of their sweet little girls. Abigail’s big sisters were so adorable with her, and I loved their sibling photos, along with their family photos. We had such a good time!

At each of this family’s newborn sessions, the Mom has requested green and purple for their setups. These colors are really special to this family because they were Mom and Dad’s wedding colors. I was happy to oblige each and every time. And each of their baby girls got outdoor shots, which are always my favorite! I’m glad Mom always delivered her babies during warmer months so we could make that happen with some nice green grass and leaves.
