Wake Forest Baby Photographer

Sweet little Lakelyn was 10 days old for her Wake Forest baby photographer session. She is an absolutely stunning newborn! Perfectly round cheeks, gorgeous skin and precious little baby wrinkles! Her parents were just recently on my blog with their maternity session (click to view!).

For Lakelyn’s newborn portraits, they selected my Original Newborn Session, which is the full newborn experience. This is my standard newborn session where we get a wide variety of poses and setups. These are typically 2.5-3 hours of working with baby to get everything the parents wanted and more! I pulled out a precious baby outfit from one of my favorite vendors, Mia Joy Studios. It had the loveliest flower and lace details, and looked stunning on Lakelyn for her Raleigh baby photo session. Lakelyn’s mommy requested purples and pinks for the session, so you’ll see that I worked in quite a bit of both colors. And we did the treasured ring and toes shot with Lakelyn, too! One of my favorite and most requested photos!

Raleigh Newborn Mini Sessions

I’m sharing a peek at a mini session for this sweet baby girl! The newborn mini sessions have become so in demand in the last few years for every Raleigh baby photographer. So many people are wanting a short and sweet newborn session so they can have a few photos to share on social media or to make some birth announcements with. So I started offering Raleigh newborn mini sessions about a year ago, and they sell like hot cakes! A newborn mini session is one hour – which is not a lot of time when you’re trying to get a baby to sleep and posed. So I try to be efficient and get as much variety and different shots as possible. Some babies sleep like a dream and I can breeze through a lot of setups. Others are a little harder, but I can still always manage to get lots of angles and variety. I typically try for at least one prop shot, and then several of the sweet baby poses on a blanket. And of course lots of close-ups of the tiny details, like face, toes and hands, which are always some of my favorite shots. So here’s an example of what to expect at your newborn mini session!

Isn’t the name Zahra so cool?! It’s definitely my first baby with this name, and I love it because it’s so unique! I picture her someday as a total badass being successful and not taking crap from anyone! 🙂 Zahra was super wide awake for the beginning of our Raleigh newborn mini session, which was fine because the eye contact shots are just SO stunning and powerful to me! Zahra did eventually take a nice nap, though, and we got some really cute newborn sleepy poses too. Her hair is just AMAZING! So full and thick and fluffy. Pretty much dream hair for a baby! She is a total stunner!

Zahra’s session is my Raleigh newborn mini session, which is about one hour of shooting time for just baby. If you’re looking for parent shots too, that would be one of my larger packages. I got so many great shots of Zahra during her mini session. It’s the perfect amount of time to do a couple of different setups and a small variety of poses. Raleigh Baby Photography

Baby girl Luna was such a delight! She came in for her Raleigh baby photography session when she was just nine days old. As you’ll see from the photos below of her newborn session, her parents requested lots of yellow, and some pinks too. So I delivered with both! I had the most beautiful yellow blanket that I hadn’t put to use in ages, so I was happy to get to use it. And I really truly love the color yellow – I have so many hats and wraps and baby headbands in yellow. I was happy to use them all! Baby Luna looked so beautiful in yellow and she was such a gorgeous baby with great cheeks.

I’d recently bought some gorgeous new outfits for baby girls, and I had fun dressing Luna up in a few of them. They had the most beautiful details on them, and fit baby Luna perfectly.

Durham Baby Photographer | Baby Tripp

Durham Newborn Baby Photographer

The very cute baby Tripp is next up to be featured here on my Durham Baby Photographer blog. I think the name Tripp is just so cute! He had the softest, best skin, and his cheeks are round and just absolutely perfect, according to my special newborn photographer evaluation. 🙂 He’s really a stunning baby! Tripp’s mama wanted to be in a few photos as well and requested some backlit shots, which I adore. I don’t get requests for backlit shots very much in my Wake Forest newborn baby studio, but I’m always happy to do it, and this session renewed my love for them. I think I may be adding these in more often when I can. So stay tuned for more of these!

Tripp’s photo session was my Original Newborn Session, which is the largest package I have available. It provides 2-3 hours of time, and allows for lots of poses and different setups. If parent or sibling shots are desired, this is a great package for that as well. These sessions really give us time for variety in the posing and the props. Lots of little hat and wrap changes, and lots of time to capture cute expressions and get different props mixed in. If your budget is smaller or you don’t need quite as many photos, I have a few other session options as well. All of my options can be found by visiting the pricing page on my website, linked here!

Beautiful Raleigh Newborn Photography Session

I’m happy to share Raleigh newborn baby girl Ainara’s photo session with you all today! She has such a unique name, and I love it. Her mom and dad requested neutrals and yellows for her, so you’ll see a lot of that below. She was just such a beautiful baby. She was awake for a good while at the beginning of her session, so I opted for some swaddle shots of her until she finally fell asleep. Then she let me pose her very sweetly, and I just love the taco pose and the pose with her little toes peeking out. COVID Precautions in my Newborn Studio

The number one question I get lately is regarding COVID protocol in my studio, and I want to continue addressing this on my blog to give everyone current information! In my Raleigh newborn photography studio, all props, equipment and seating areas are disinfected in between each baby photo session. I clean my hands very frequently during sessions (I go through a lot of hand sanitizer!). I also wear a mask during newborn photo sessions to keep from spreading germs. And most importantly, I’m covid vaccinated! If you have any further questions or need accommodations, please reach out!

Raleigh Baby Photographer

I’m sharing a baby girl today that is super stunning! The photos almost speak for themselves, but she is just perfect in every way. The hair, the lashes, the beautiful skin… all perfect! This family opted for my Keepsake newborn session package. The keepsake package allows for a couple of family photos, as well as some photos of baby alone. We usually end up with roughly 20 photos, and some black and whites are always included as well. This family wanted me to use my baby bed prop (it’s been requested so much lately!), and preferred a lot of props over very many blanket shots. So we got a beautiful variety, and I adore all of the photos! The family shots are so special, and I think her parents will treasure these. She was such a cooperative and happy little girl. I feel so lucky that this family chose me to capture these memories!

Wake Forest’s Best Newborn Photographer | Baby Girl London

Wake Forest’s Best Newborn Photographer

This is beautiful baby London! Her family opted for a newborn mini session, which is posed photos of just the baby alone. The mini sessions are roughly an hour and allow for a few different poses on a blanket, as well as posing in a prop (or two). Of course, these sessions are customized to each individual client’s requests. Baby girl London’s mommy wanted a photo of London in one of my tiny baby beds, and she also brought crystals that she wanted to be used with one of my crowns – you’ll see that photo below. It was a special photo for London’s mom. We used lots of girly pinks and creams for London, and we got a great variety in the hour we were together. London was sleepy and happy for her session, and was just so beautiful! I loved meeting this sweet baby girl!

I’ve had such a busy summer, and I’m currently booking Raleigh newborn, maternity, and baby’s first-year photo sessions for fall and winter 2021. And because I’ve had a lot of questions lately about COVID precautions, I’d love to fill you in on what I do in my studio to keep babies and their families safe from COVID. I’m fully vaccinated, as is everyone in my family who is at the age where they’re eligible to receive the vaccine. In between each session, my studio gets fully sanitized. My props are disinfected, my camera and work area are cleaned, as is the seating area where parents hang out during sessions. The first thing I do before touching a baby is to sanitize my hands, and I do it frequently throughout each session. I also wear a mask to protect my tiny clients from germs. Raleigh Newborn Photographer | Baby Christopher

I love being a Raleigh newborn photographer! What a sweet little boy I have to share today for all the fans of cute babies out there! This little darling is baby Christopher, and he was 18 days old for his Raleigh newborn photo session. He was awake for a good stretch and showed off his beautiful eyes, and then went to sleep and let me pose him for a good stretch, too! The perfect combination! His big sister was just so perfect and cooperative too. It is such a dream to work with this great family! I was so honored to have been chosen by them to capture these precious newborn memories.

It really thrills me every time I meet a new baby and get to share in these first few weeks of their lives. The parents are always in awe of their baby and how sleepy I get them during a newborn portrait session. If I had a dollar for every time I hear “can you just come home with us?”… I’d be pretty rich! 🙂 It’s really pretty easy because new babies love to sleep. They just need a full belly, and to be warm and soothing, and they’re usually out like a light! Looking for the best baby photographer in Raleigh? Precious baby girl Riley came into my Wake Forest newborn studio at 2.5 weeks old. She is the first baby to my son’s soccer coach, so this family was a special one to me! She has the most beautiful blonde hair, which was no surprise, as both of her parents are blonde. It was so fluffy and had a mind of its own, though, which made me laugh. Her mommy requested pinks, so of course, I made that happen. She’s a gorgeous baby, with great cheeks and the most perfect chub rolls! I enjoyed my time in the studio with her and her family and captured so many great poses and angles that show off her beauty.
