What a busy start to the summer it’s been so far! I’m completely booked up until September, so for those thinking about booking a fall newborn or maternity session, please don’t wait! And for those looking for summer sessions, I can’t fit you in, but I can give you some recommendations! 🙂

I wanted to share some photos of sweet little April, whom I met at just 12 days old. Her Mommy is a local photographer also. I was pretty excited that she asked me to photograph her baby – such an honor! April is just adorable and we got a lot of great images for her Mommy and Daddy to remember her at this tiny age. Here are a few of my favorites!

Amelia | RALEIGH DURHAM NC BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I just had to share a couple of pictures of 7-month-old Amelia! I loved working with her Mommy – she was excited about props and outfit changes, and it was all so adorable!! Amelia was, of course, just so cute! We met on a really chilly morning in early May, and Amelia just went with the punches and never got cranky. And they brought lots of family along to help keep Amelia happy, which totally worked! We had fun!

Baby Evan | RALEIGH DURHAM NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I haven’t had a chance to blog in nearly two weeks – that may be a new record for me. The beginning of summer has brought on a rush of sessions. Add to that my two boys being out of school for the summer and several family trips, and you have ME going a little crazy. 🙂

I’m excited to be able to share sweet baby Evan with you all today. He was so tiny at just five days old for his first photo session. His Daddy is a fireman, so he brought along his gear for a really special photo, which I just loved. He was a perfect little poser too – it was a fabulous session!

Baby Macallen | RALEIGH DURHAM NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This is sweet little Macallen at just seven days new. His Mommy and Daddy met me a few months ago for their maternity portraits – which you’ll have to check out if you missed. Macallen was sooooo cute and tiny. He was a great baby for his session, even cooperating for a few military-themed photos for his parents. I just love him in front of that flag backdrop with his Daddy’s hat!

Seema’s Maternity Portraits | RALEIGH DURHAM NC MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

Seema and her husband Brian met me in Raleigh for their maternity session waaaaay back in April!! I’m excited to say that their baby boy was just born a few days ago, so I’m excited to meet him this week for his first photos! Seema opted for a maternity mini-session to capture her pregnancy. I began offering maternity mini-sessions a few months ago as an add-on to newborn sessions. They’re 30 minutes and result in about 15 photos. I personally think it’s the perfect amount of time to capture your pregnancy. Contact me for more details!

Seema was absolutely gorgeous pregnant, as you can see below! And since her husband is a fellow photography enthusiast, he went along with all of the posing without any complaints. 🙂 We had a fun time. Tune in for their newborn photos soon, too!

Kristin’s Maternity Session | RALEIGH DURHAM NC MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

I was so thrilled to meet Kristin and her husband, Shannon. I was excited to do something a little “different” for their session. They’re both veterinarians and wanted to include their three dogs into their photos. I loooooove pictures with pets! Somehow – I’m not even sure HOW – we got ALL three dogs sitting and looking at the camera for SO many shots!!!! It was awesome! I loved it – so much fun!! 🙂

Baby Landon | RALEIGH DURHAM NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Little Landon was born into one of the sweetest families. His big sister was part of my Baby’s First Year package last year, and now he’ll be a part of it this year! I’m excited to see him and his big sister, Maylin, grow up over the next year! Baby Landon is a perfect combination of his parents! He made it into my studio at 10 days old and was just as perfect as can be. We had a fabulous session – he was nice and sleepy and he even gave me a few little smiles!

Shannon | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

Last month I met an adorable couple – Shannon and her husband Whitt. They’re expecting their first baby in June and chose to document their pregnancy through the Mommy & Me package! We had amazing weather the night of their session. Our beautiful North Carolina sun was shining bright! They’re both just as cute as can be together, and we had a great time. I have to say they are a completely stunning couple!

Alexander | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I hope everyone is having a great week! May has turned out to be incredibly busy for me from all angles – completely booked with sessions, and my boys have tons of school activities this month to kick off the summer. I can barely remember what day it is! 🙂 I am almost booked up for the summer – I have one spot left in June, two openings in July, and one in August. So please, book fast! I get so many people who contact me after their due date asking for a newborn session, and I hate turning people away at that point.

I’m excited to show you all how much little Alexander has changed since his newborn session back in July! He is so adorable, and cooperative! And I finally got to meet his Daddy since he had to miss the newborn session. Of course we got lots of family shots for them, and plenty of shots of Alexander sitting up and getting ready to walk (soon!!) at nine months old! Here are a few!

Sydney | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This sweet family came to me last month for little Sydney’s one year portraits. I last saw Sydney at her newborn session, and WOW, has she gotten so big!!! We primarily met to get some adorable new photos of Sydney since she just had her first birthday. But we also fit in plenty of family shots too! I just love how they came out!
