I hope everyone has been enjoying their last week of summer like I have! My oldest son starts Kindergarten this week, and then my youngest is off to pre-school right after Labor Day. So we fit in a trip up north to visit relatives, along with a little time to unwind right before the busy-ness starts back up again! I’ll miss them once they’re back to school, but secretly I’m excited to get back into a routine! 🙂 And if you’re interested in getting on my calendar for the fall, I have just a couple of openings in September, and October is almost fully booked. This is little Isabella, who came to me at just seven days old for her first professional photo session! She was such a cute little baby, and we did a ton of set-ups and had lots of fun photographing her! Her Daddy is a baseball player, so we planned accordingly and incorporated a photo with his glove and ball. It was a great set-up and I’m sure it meant so much to her Daddy to see his little baby girl with his treasured items!

Baylor | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This handsome little guy is Baylor, and he’s about to have his first birthday!! He happens to also be my nephew — you saw his newborn portraits here. It’s so hard to believe it’s been a year! He has the best personality – so sweet and easygoing. And that strawberry blonde hair is just to die for! He came to visit me a few weeks ago and we just had to give him a photo session to capture this last little bit of his baby phase. You’ll notice the pancakes on his shirt… there’s a story behind that. He’s having a first birthday breakfast party, so his Mommy wanted a photo of him in his pancake shirt to include on the birthday party invite. Isn’t that a cool idea? I just love this little guy and loved getting to photograph him again!!

Emily’s Maternity Session | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST MATERNITY & BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Emily and her husband James met me in Wake Forest for their maternity session. Emily opted for one of my new maternity mini-sessions. We spent about thirty minutes getting a lot of cute photos of her cute pregnant belly, and of her and James cuddling! And then they received a disc with 20 photos – perfect for printing, making an album, or sharing with family. Emily and her husband were so sweet, and their first baby is due in about 2 weeks — I can’t wait to meet her! So happy for them! Here’s a peek at a few of their photos!

Arden Turns One | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ve so enjoyed seeing Arden grow up this year — you all probably remember her cute little self from her 3 month and 6 month photo sessions. Her Mommy is a dear friend, and I was so excited to work with her to create a specific magical photo to match her first birthday party theme. Hot air balloons!! Unfortunately it rained on and off DURING our session, so it put a damper on it all, but we managed to pull it off and got some beautiful photos of Arden! I’m excited to share these with you. And so sad that Arden is no longer a baby… booooo! 🙂

What a complete delight it was for me to have baby girl Shawn in my studio! She came in at 17 days old and was such a sweet little girl. Shawn’s beautiful Mommy was on the blog back in May for her maternity session. It was fun to see her again, and to finally meet little Shawn! I was also lucky enough to meet Shawn’s grandma. It’s always a blessing to see so many loved ones adoring a new baby! Shawn, thanks for being so good for me, you’re beautiful! 🙂

Wesley and Harrison | RALEIGH DURHAM WAKE FOREST BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

These little twins are six months old! I first met Wesley and Harrison when they were itty bitty newborns, and their cute little selves came back to see me halfway through their first year for some updated portraits of their new talent – sitting up! Fortunately for me, they’re a part of my baby’s first year plan, so I’ll get to see them again when they turn one. These two are soooooo cute and have the best personalities!

Baby Mason | RALEIGH DURHAM NC NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I hope everyone had a fun fourth of July! We were busy at my house – lots of festivities, swimming, eating, and fireworks! 🙂

Today I wanted to share a beautiful baby boy with you all. Baby Mason was born at the end of May. You may remember his parent’s maternity session on the blog last month. Mason was born with a FULL head of hair — definitely the most hair I’ve ever seen on a newborn. And it’s gorgeous! It was almost a shame to cover it with hats. He was a sweet little man, and there were lots of cute photos for his parents to choose from!
