Recently I had the pleasure of meeting sweet little Allie, just 10 days new. Oh, how I love newborn sessions, I could do them every day. Congrats to her parents and big brother Caleb, she is gorgeous and such a blessing!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I got some use out of my macro lens yesterday. For those who aren’t familiar with macro photography, it’s essentially just taking super close-up photos with a special lens. My macro lens is rather new, and I looooove it!

Ashley and Jamie’s Bridal Portraits

Cate & Lucy | Newborn Twins | Raleigh Newborn Portrait Photographer

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Cate and Lucy – baby girl twins. This family is one of a kind – the parents are talented in so many ways and they have FOUR girls! I can’t even imagine how Daddy will sleep at night when they become teenagers!

Kim and Ashley’s Bridal Portraits

Meet Kim and Ashley. They were married recently in Savannah, GA. I traveled down to Savannah a few weekends ago to visit with some fellow photographer friends of mine. And Kim and Ashley, having been a little disappointed with how their wedding pictures came out, decided to get all dressed up and model for us so we could get some new shots for them. They were such good sports – it was freezing out but Kim stood out in the cold posing for us as long as we wanted her to. Thanks Kim and Ashley for a fun afternoon in downtown Savannah!

Rachel and Waylon’s Engagement Portraits | Love Light Style

Meet Rachel and Waylon. They’re an adorable couple engaged to be married on April 30th. They met in pre-school… yes, pre-school! But they only started dating Rachel’s freshman year of college and have been stuck like glue to each other ever since. They’re a very sweet couple and I just know they’re going to have an amazing life together.

Rachel and Waylon’s engagement portraits are FUN and DIFFERENT! They’re love light style! This is one of my favorite styles of photography and I was so excited to take these pictures of them. I think they look amazing!!! They’re a beautiful couple and the camera loved them. And if you’re in the Raleigh area and would like your own fun, evening session done, please let me know!

Lancaster

This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Lancaster, PA and staying right amongst the beautiful Amish farmland. The house we rented had horses running in the backyard. They were so beautiful!

The wide open fields and farms covered in snow were absolutely breathtaking. Granted, I froze my fingers off taking photos, but it was worth it!

And the covered bridges… all I can say is WOW. I spent a morning driving around finding the covered bridges and took many, many photos. This bridge was the longest and by far my favorite. I love the old, rustic look of it.

And lastly, just an interesting photo of a scooter belonging to an Amish person, left propped against a barn. Everywhere we went we saw people of all ages riding on these scooters.
