2012 Year In Review | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER

Each year I try to set aside some time to create a compilation of my favorite photos from each session I had that year. It was really fun to go back through and remember my favorites! I picked one photo from each family I met this year — there are sessions I’ve promised not to share, for privacy reasons, but the ones you see below are all of my favorites from those I blogged about this year. I owe a big thank you to each of the families I met this year – you’ve all been so amazing to share your lives with me, and I’m blessed to call you my friends. I watched quite a few of your babies grow up this year, and it was an honor!

Coming up in 2013, I plan to get caught up on my blogging from all my fall sessions, and I have an extremely packed calendar for January, so I’m eager to get some new sweet babies on this blog! Happy New Year, everyone!

Baby Ethan | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Meet sweet baby boy Ethan. He was an absolute JOY to photograph. Ethan is blessed to have an awesome big brother and two adoring parents, along with amazingly generous extended relatives that I had the pleasure to speak with — he was definitely born into a loving family! I am completely smitten with this little guy. 🙂

Lorelei | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Oh, how I LOVED this session. First of all, I haven’t photographed a single baby with the name Lorelei. EVER. But, why in the world not?!? I just LOVE IT!!!! There needs to be more Lorelei’s in this world. And second of all, Lorelei’s sweet Mommy brought along HER mom from Louisiana to the session, so we had three generations in the studio. And lastly, 7-day-old Lorelei gave me the biggest smiles I’ve EVER seen on a newborn. Thanks for totally making my day, Lorelei! You’re so sweet and wonderful!

Just a scheduling note: I’m completely booked up for the remainder of 2012 for family and child photo sessions. I do have a (very) few openings for maternity and newborn sessions for 2012. Wesley and Harrison | Twins | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Sweet little twin boys, Wesley and Harrison, met me a few weeks ago in the studio for their newborn portraits. They are just so precious and perfect!! There’s really something special about a set of twins, something so fascinating and amazing to me. It’s always a delight for me to be able to photograph twins. Wesley and Harrison are participating in my Baby’s First Year Plan, so I’m thrilled to get to watch them grow during their first year!

Baby Baylor | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This sweet little man is none other than my newest nephew, Baylor! Doesn’t he have the coolest name? I got the honor of photographing him when he was 17 days old. He’s a little dream baby. So sweet and peaceful. Love this little guy! 🙂

Baby Vada | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Baby Nathaniel | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

I met baby Nathaniel about a month ago (has it really been that long?) when he was just 11 days old. He was bright eyed and ready for fun! 🙂 It’s very rare that I get a newborn who won’t sleep much for me — but I think Nathaniel was just too interested in watching me work. I’ll take it as a compliment. He has gorgeous eyes, and I LOOOOOVE getting photos of those cute baby eyes, so I was happy! 🙂 Here are a few of my favorites from Nathaniel’s session.

Baby Ella | RALEIGH WAKE FOREST NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

This is sweet, sweet little baby Ella. She was born a little bit early and was just the cutest, tiniest little thing! She is so precious and sweet. You all recently saw her beautiful parents gracing the blog for their maternity session, here. I was so excited to meet little Ella and we got some gorgeous portraits for her parents!

Alexander | Raleigh Wake Forest Newborn Baby Photographer

Adorable little Alexander was nine days old for his photography debut. He actually made me work a ton for these photos — he was bright eyed most of the morning that I was with him. But after a lot of soothing he took a few cat naps! He sure was cute and I completely enjoyed the time I was with him!

Alexander’s Daddy is a hockey fan, so we surprised him and incorporated a pair of hockey skates into the pictures. I think they’re totally adorable!

Max and Mason | Raleigh Wake Forest Newborn Baby Twins Photographer

I have to apologize that the blog has been so quiet the past few weeks. It’s been an incredibly busy (and hot) summer! Sessions have been in full swing! I’ll try to catch up on blogging over the next few weeks!

I was so incredibly excited to meet identical twins Max and Mason, born on the 4th of July. They were SO SO tiny! They each weighed in at a little less than five pounds at the time of our session. They were a dream to photograph and just so incredibly precious!
