Finally a baby boy photo session to share today from Raleigh’s best newborn photographer! This little guy is soooo handsome and perfect. I was just astounded at his full, beautiful head of hair and his long eyelashes! An absolutely perfect and precious newborn baby boy. He gave the sweetest little smile when we were doing the family pictures during the session (see that one down below). So of course that’s now my favorite recent family photo! He posed so perfectly in froggy and taco poses, and was a sleepy and happy little guy!

Franklinton Newborn Photographer | Baby Girl Photography

Up next on the blog is a beautiful baby girl’s Franklinton newborn photo session, with lots of pink! This baby girl was so precious and posed so sweetly. Her parents followed the newborn photo session prep guide that’s sent out before every photo session. It’s so important to follow Melissa’s prep instructions in order to arrive with a sleepy and calm baby, so we can achieve all of the cute poses! As you’ll see in the prep guide, baby needs to be kept awake for about an hour before you leave for the photo session. There are plenty of ways to do this, which include giving baby a bath, get baby undressed down to her diaper, and play/talk to baby to stimulate her. Then give your baby a full feeding just prior to leaving the house. You can let baby fall asleep in their carseat while you drive, and then your baby arrives full and sleepy so we can get started with the posing right away! It works like a charm.

Thank you for visiting the site of Wake Forest’s award winning baby photographer! Today we are sharing a glimpse into a newborn photo session styled specifically for baby boy Tadrian. This little fella came into the newborn photo studio in Wake Forest for his first modeling gig! And he was such a handsome and happy little boy. His parents requested blues and browns, and so Melissa styled his session around their requests. Baby Harper came into the photo studio for a “Full” newborn session package. I have a beautiful baby girl’s Knightdale Newborn Photographer session that I want to feature today! This sweet family requested purples and greens for their photo session. I’ve noticed an increase in requests for the color purple lately. I have to say I absolutely love the color purple on baby girls, and I get happy when I get requests for it. I usually always end up using more pink with baby girls, which is pretty too. But I do love some variety!

I’m always happy to use a lot of color in newborn photo sessions. We can coordinate setups to match the colors of the rooms in your home where you plan to display your art. For example, if you plan to hang the newborn portraits in baby’s nursery, we can use pops of color that match the colors of the nursery. Or a living room, entry way, etc.

This next tiny little peanut came to see me in January for her Raleigh newborn photographer session. She was soooo itty bitty – most of my headbands and hats had to be adjusted for her tiny head. Newborn Photographer Chapel Hill | Baby Girl Laney

Today I want to share some of the beautiful newborn portraits from baby girl Laney’s photo session, and I’m also going to cover some helpful items you’ll need to bring to your baby’s newborn photo session.

Baby Laney was so adorable and perfect for her Chapel Hill newborn photo session. Wait until you see her beautiful eyelashes, and stunning skin! Her mama requested jewel tones like ruby red. I love getting to use these gorgeous colors for newborn photos! They were such a nice complement to Laney’s skin tones. I just love the variety of props and poses that I was able to achieve for baby Laney’s portraits!

For those planning their baby’s newborn photography session, there are a few things that are so essential in helping this run smoothly. First, I always request parents bring along a pacifier, even if their baby hasn’t used one yet. Babies have a natural sucking reflex, and it helps to soothe and relax them. It’s SO important in soothing babies into those cute little poses! And second, a way to feed baby is necessary while you’re in the newborn photo studio. For those moms who aren’t nursing, please bring along a bottle. Often we do have to pause partway through a photo session for baby to feed, since they eat so often!

Other than these items, I have everything else we’ll need! I always keep a full supply of diapers, wipes, burp cloths, snacks for hungry moms… it’s all provided! 🙂
